NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination results declared — rank-vs-marks table released

The National Testing Agency has published the result statistics for the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination, including the official marks-to-rank mapping and the candidate distribution across mark bands. These are the reference numbers every counselling decision this season should be built on.

What marks got which rank

All India RankMarks (out of 720)

3,00,000389
4,00,000355
5,00,000325

NTA's published table continues in 50,000-rank steps down to rank 19,50,000 (38 marks).

How many candidates sit in each band

NTA also published lists of the top 138 candidates scoring 690 or above, along with gender-wise, category-wise and state-wise topper lists.

What this means for your counselling

The band between 450 and 550 marks is the most crowded stretch on the entire scale — roughly 1.3 lakh candidates sit inside a 100-mark window. A difference of five or six marks in this range can move a rank by tens of thousands of places, which is precisely why choice-filling order matters more here than anywhere else. If your score falls in this band, the working assumption should be that All India Quota government seats are extremely tight, and the realistic MCC routes are deemed and central universities — evaluated against fees, bonds and your state's own counselling, rather than hoped for.
