Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is written with reference to India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and its 2025 Rules. Under this law, WhiteCoatGuru is a "Data Fiduciary" and you are the "Data Principal" (or, if you are a minor, your parent/guardian is treated as the Data Principal on your behalf).
1. Information We Collect
- Contact details: student name, parent/guardian name, email address, phone number
- Academic/counselling details: NEET score, AIR, category, domicile state, budget, eligibility routes (NRI/PwD/minority/defence/ESI), current counselling status, and any documents you choose to upload (e.g. scorecard)
- Payment confirmation details (amount, payment status, payment ID) — your card, UPI, or bank details themselves are collected and processed by Razorpay, not by WhiteCoatGuru
2. Why We Collect It
- To assess eligibility and prepare your personalised counselling strategy report
- To confirm your order and deliver your report to the correct email address
- To respond to support queries and, where necessary, request missing or corrected information
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond preparing and delivering your report and supporting your order.
3. Minors' Data — Please Read
Indian law requires verifiable parental consent before we process the personal data of anyone under 18. If the student is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete the registration and payment, and is treated as the consenting party under this Policy. We do not knowingly collect data directly from a minor without a parent/guardian's involvement.
4. How We Store and Protect Your Data
Your submissions are collected via Tally and stored in Google Sheets, with access limited to the WhiteCoatGuru team. Payment records are held by Razorpay. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, in line with DPDPA requirements. Uploaded documents are not exposed via public links.
5. Sharing Your Data
We share your payment amount and contact details with our payment processor (Razorpay) solely to process payment, and your form responses are processed through Tally's platform to reach our Google Sheets. We also use Google Analytics, which receives anonymous website usage data as described in Section 8 — it does not receive the academic, contact, or payment details you submit to us. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal or academic data with any other third party.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain your data for as long as necessary to deliver your report and for a reasonable period afterward for support and record purposes, or until you request erasure, whichever is earlier.
7. Your Rights
Under the DPDPA, you (or your parent/guardian, if you are a minor) have the right to request a summary of the personal data we hold, request correction of inaccurate data, request erasure (actioned within 90 days), and withdraw consent at any time (this will not affect a report already delivered). 8. Cookies and Website Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors find and use the site so that we can improve it. Google Analytics places cookies and similar identifiers on your device and collects information such as the pages you visit, the time spent on them, the website or advertisement that referred you, your approximate location (derived from a truncated IP address, not a precise one), and general device and browser type.
This information is used in aggregate to measure site traffic and performance. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not upload the academic, contact, or payment details you submit through our forms into Google Analytics. Google processes this data as our service provider and in accordance with its own privacy terms; you can review how Google handles data at policies.google.com/privacy.
How to opt out: You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time, or install Google's official opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use this website, submit a form, or receive your report.
If we later run advertising campaigns that measure conversions on this site, those measurement cookies will be used solely to record whether a visit resulted in an enquiry or purchase, and this section will be updated accordingly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date above.
