Seats Left after Round 3 — college & category-wise

Every MBBS seat traced through counselling: how many seats each college had in Round 1, how many were filled, what opened in Round 2 and Round 3, which seats were freed when candidates upgraded, and how many are expected to be left for the mop-up round.

How these numbers are worked out
Round 1 seats are from MCC's Round 1 seat matrix. Joined = candidates who reported to that seat. Open in R2 / R3 are MCC's official clear-vacancy lists for those rounds (these include seats MCC added or converted between rounds). R2 / R3 filled = candidates newly allotted that seat (fresh or upgrade). Freed in R3 = seats released because their holder upgraded elsewhere in Round 3.

NRI → Management: for each deemed college, management seats filled in Round 3 beyond (open + freed) are seats MCC added to management; the part matched by NRI seats left empty is counted as NRI seats filled as management. Round 2 showed no such over-filling at any college.

Expected left for mop-up = Open in R3 + Freed in R3 − R3 filled, assuming every Round 3 allottee joins. Anyone who does not join adds to this. Rules applied, each checked against how Round 3 was actually filled: an unfilled PwD seat goes back to the same category; within a college, a category filled beyond its seats uses a spare seat from another category (shown as 0 · shared); in deemed universities management, NRI and minority seats are counted together, because MCC fills unfilled NRI/minority seats as management seats. Not in MCC list (+N): a few colleges had seats vacant going into Round 3 — seats Round 2 allottees did not join, or never filled — that MCC's Round 3 vacancy list did not show; Round 3 filled them, so they are counted. With these, every Round 3 allotment is accounted for.
